CIVIC collaborated with Studio JAED to develop the Portsmouth School District facility improvement plans. Together with the school leadership team, we identified the district’s goals, which in turn have helped prioritize capital improvement planning. The proposed work helps enable a future renovation that can address the identified priorities by improving the utilization of the building through comprehensive planning, reconfiguration, and renovation.

From a facilities-planning perspective, the proposed scope balances overall square footage with instructional effectiveness, enabling Portsmouth Middle School to better utilize its existing building while aligning with RIDE’s broader goals for healthy, adaptable, and equitable learning environments.
