The West Warwick School District serves the community of West Warwick, providing educational opportunities across a network of schools grounded in a commitment to student success and community well-being. CIVIC worked to support the district’s RIDE Necessity of School Construction Stage II, focusing on understanding educational needs and planning for future school facilities.
Working closely with district administrators, teachers, students, and community members, CIVIC facilitated a comprehensive engagement and assessment process. This included facility walkthroughs, teacher visioning exercises, and community surveys to identify both current challenges and future aspirations for learning environments. Informed by the district’s strategic plan and curricular goals, an educational program was developed to guide the design and construction of improved facilities. The resulting framework defined spatial needs and supported long-term decision-making, ensuring that future investments align with the district’s mission to provide safe, engaging, and equitable learning environments for all students.
